Introducing our first Medium Power AM/FM 10 Meter Radio

Looking for a basic rig with a little extra heat?

Visually, the new DX 45MP is a dead ringer for the DX 48T.

However, it does not have the built-in High Performance output circuit, the extra heat sink on the bottom or the cooling fan. Instead, it has a dual transistor output circuit normally reserved for our SSB units like the DX 99V.

Noteworthy features include:

  • Front mic jack
  • Two 2SC1969 output transistors that generate 10 watts of power for AM and FM operation (No SSB operation)
  • Chassis incorporates a solid aluminum finned rear section as a heatsink
  • New "StarLite" faceplate is matte black with all lettering backlit in green and blue
  • Same main circuit board as the DX 48T
  • Medium duty DC power cord

Items NOT included:

  • No frequency counter
  • No jack for accessory frequency counter
  • No Roger Beep circuit
  • No clarifier
  • Three-position dimmer switch takes the place of a variable dimmer pot

The DX 45MP also has the following standard features found on other Galaxy radios:

    1. "S" meter indicates up to 60dB over S9
    2. Modulation percentage scale for use on AM
